This policy explains what information this website collects, which services process it, and what your choices are. It is written to be specific rather than boilerplate — the services named here are the services actually in use.
1. Who We Are
WP Pirates is a WordPress maintenance and operations practice based in Portland, Oregon, USA. For anything related to this policy or your data, contact info@wppirates.com.
2. What We Collect
We collect only what you submit through the contact and emergency intake forms:
- Name, email address, and (optionally) phone number
- Your website URL
- The service and urgency you select, and the message you write
- The plan you chose, if you started one from the pricing page
There is no newsletter, no account system, and no marketing list. We don't buy, enrich, or resell contact data.
You don't need to tick a box for us to reply: answering a message you sent us is the ordinary, expected use of it, and it's the only use we make of it. We don't add you to any list.
3. How We Use It
Form submissions are used to reply to your request and deliver the service you asked for. Submissions arrive as email and are retained as ordinary business correspondence for as long as needed to service the request and keep required business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
4. Analytics
This site uses a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It is cookieless, does not collect personal information, does not track you across other sites, and the data never leaves our own infrastructure. Because it sets no cookies and stores no personal data, no analytics consent banner is required for it.
5. Advertising Measurement
When we run advertising campaigns, this site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API to measure whether ads lead to inquiries. When active, these tools record page views and form-conversion events, and transmit a hashed (unreadable) version of the email address you submit so Meta can match the conversion to an ad click. See Meta's privacy policy for how Meta processes this data. Where the law requires consent for this kind of tracking, it is requested before these tools activate.
6. Service Providers
Three categories of providers process data on our behalf:
- Resend — delivers the email generated when you submit a form
- Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs (IP address, request time)
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement, only as described in section 5 and only while campaigns run
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone.
7. Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Show you the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
Email info@wppirates.com and we'll action it — no forms, no runaround.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
9. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or our data practices, please contact us or email info@wppirates.com.
Have a question we haven't covered? Send a note — we'll reply within one business day.
